The Quiet Hello is built for one small, private gesture between two people. We collect only what we need to connect you, deliver that gesture, keep the service safe, and help when something goes wrong.
Information we process
- An optional display name and the private invitation and connection identifiers needed to link two people.
- Apple Push Notification service tokens, notification status, and basic app, device, and operating-system details needed to deliver and troubleshoot notifications.
- Limited signal metadata, such as timestamps, delivery state, and security or rate-limit records. A quiet hello has no written message body.
- Information you choose to include if you contact us for support.
How we use it
We use this information to create and maintain your private connection, deliver notifications, prevent duplicate or abusive sends, secure the service, and understand operational failures.
We do not sell your personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or build advertising profiles. The Quiet Hello has no public profile, social feed, or searchable people directory.
Service providers
We share only the information required to operate the service with providers that help us host the app and deliver notifications. This includes Apple’s Push Notification service and Courier, our notification delivery provider.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect the safety, rights, and security of our users or the service.
Retention and deletion
Invitation information is kept only while an invitation remains active. Connection and device registration information is kept while you remain linked and use the service. Limited operational records may be kept for a short period to protect reliability and security.
You can request deletion of your information by emailing us. We may retain information when required for legal, security, or fraud prevention purposes.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect the information we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Quiet Hello is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will post the current version here and update the effective date above.
